God ordained the family as a place where human beings can experience love to its fullest extent. God desires that husbands and wives experience unity and love each other as Christ loves His church (Ephesians 5:22-33). It is God's will that parents "do not exasperate their children, but instead bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord." (Ephesians 6:4)
